Pinewood Derby 2010
This past Saturday, the East Providence Cub Scout Pack 10 held it's Pinewood Derby meet. Benjamin didn't win but the spirit of the day prevailed and he had a great time anyway, as did all the scouts. This short video will give a taste of the day. I shot this with my Nikon D300s and did some post work with After Effects.

Gordon's Ink
I visited Godron's Ink yesterday while on the road for VIBCO and shot this image of Chris Clancy's office. Gordon’s Ink is owned and operated by Chris. He has worked in all aspects of the photography industry and has been working with Photoshop and digital scanners, printers and cameras since 1997. His commitment to personal service helps Gordon’s Ink stand apart from the competition. Visit their website here.

Sunrise on the water
Another stop along the waterfront in Providence just before sunrise on my way into work. I found this spot today and liked the view. I may shoot from here again. The sunrise was nice with a bit of haze on the water. Sorry I haven't posted much recently, been working on an animation for a friend's project. Will post some drafts of that animation as I progress, and hopefully get some more photography posted. Ed

Great credits - Sherlock Holmes
I have come across the end credits of the new movie Sherlock Holmes and find them beautifully crafted, although not overly fond of the soundtrack. I love the transition from live action to an ink and watercolor drawing - very organic and very nicely done. I have plans to see the movie this weekend and hope it holds up to the quality of the credits. This is really great work. Watch the credits here.
UPDATE: Loved the movie... the story was very good, the acting was great but the digital sets blew me away. 1870's London was done very well.

Best of 2009 World Wide Pano Event
The latest exhibition of panoramic photography has been posted at the WorldWide Panoramas site. This is a collection of interactive panoramas from over 200 photographers from around the world. I have been participating since March 2004. We shoot on the equinox's and solstices and typically the December collection is a 'Best of' collection. Hope you can spend some time at the site and enjoy the works. Ed
