The beach in Island Park, a community on the north end of Aquidneck Island and a part of Portsmouth, Rhode Island. Looking down the Sakonnet River toward the sea, some twelve miles distant, you can see Gould Island about a mile south. Gould Island is home to many different sea birds. Today, in early March,
the beach is completely deserted, but come the 4th of July this beach will be hopping.
